Smegtrek Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 IPS: pay for 1000 DN /40 UP Wfi 6: 780 DN / 38 UP Wired from the XR1000: 350 DN / 38 UP Via Speedtest.net and other speed test. Direct wired from the modem is giving me 950 DN / 39 UP Speedtest.net was giving me on the average 940 DN till last week from the XR1000 QOS is off as it always tested 100%/100% The odd thing in my Connection Benchmark in my XR1000 DumaOS is still showing A+ with 890 DN avg so the XR1000 is getting 900+ just not giving it out. NETGEAR Armor trial expired so I believe it is off, I had it off before it expired but I can't help thinking it has something to do with the slow down as it expired about the same time things slowed down. I am getting what I expect from my Wifi but 1/3 of what my wired used to be. Smeg
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 28, 2022 Administrators Posted April 28, 2022 Have you actually disabled QoS fully or just left it on 100%/never? If Armor has expired but not automatically disabled that may have something to do with it, double check on the Nighthawk app that it has been disabled, if not disable then reboot, wait 2 minutes then test again
Featured Comment Smegtrek Posted April 29, 2022 Author Featured Comment Posted April 29, 2022 FIXED: Lesson learned when in doubt go back to basics - Changed the CAT6 cable going from XR1000 to my PC and went up to 860 DN. / 39 UP - I had it on 100%/never so went to the three dash menu and totally disabled QOS and now I am at 945 DN / 43? UP Still getting A+ x 3 so I will leave QOS off for now Thanks Fraser for the quick response.
Smegtrek Posted April 29, 2022 Author Posted April 29, 2022 Ended up turning on QOS again 100%/never as I guess you lose AdBlocker and other things if it is totally off. Still getting ~900 dn so the slight downward bandwidth bump is fine.
