mattyice13 Posted January 8, 2015 Share Posted January 8, 2015 hey, new to forums and i just received my netduma today. however having issue 1. my hosting filter says i am in the middle of the U.S. and i live on east coast in New Hampshire?? I would like to set up to play in the u.s. only to reduce the lag. 2. You can do that by clicking the house button above and clicking where your home is You should see a wirless network called "Netduma R1", the devices can connect to it using the serial number on the side of the box. mattyice13 Posted January 9, 2015 Author Share Posted January 9, 2015 Any progress Matty? no, not sure if its the compatability between netduma and my comcast Xfininity modem router. it tells me to go to the DMZ on my modem to make enable, but it asks for IP numbers and such and i dont know what to do? dont want to mess anything up. also is there something i am to do to have my wirless devices find netduma R1 wifi? it still finds my wifi router on comcast xfinity. the option for netduma is not on the list when i enable wifi on any device. also maybe i dont have it set up right but i did not notice a difference in gaming last night. i did see and feel some lag at certain points of my gaming? i want to give it a chance but i need someone to tell me how to set this up so it works right. would like to be able to set it up and not have to worry about accessing netduma everytime i want to game. also why will it not let me put my home as NH?? it always puts me in the middle of the U.S. like in nebraska or kansas area of the U.S. why will it not find where i am?? i have unplugged both net duma and modem and repowered them up again a few times now I think i have to disable my wifi in my comcast modem/router, then it sees netduma in 2.4ghz but not 5 ghz hmmmmm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Hi Matty, its quite hard to help as your situation keeps changing. Lets try fix one problem at a time please. Don't worry about DMZ that is like an extra perk that may make it work slightly better but in most instances you don't need it. So lets leave that for later. So my understanding is you have many devices and they are all wireless. But they cannot not see the "Netduma R1" wifi is that correct? If so can you connected via wired and go to "Settings > Wireless" on the Netduma router. You can enable it from there and put you username/password to whatever you want.
