Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2022 Are ALL devices connected to the R2? What is the model of the modem/router that the R2 is connected to? Can you provide a screenshot of the QoS page please?
Josh777
Yes all devices are connected to the r2 the model is bgw 320 . I can’t send the QOS at the moment but I went to the drop down and turned it off as I saw in another chat that it helps with the speed. As well as I turned off the ipv6
Josh777
It still hasn’t given me the the full speed or it’s still running 200’on wifi and 400 on Ethernet when my speed is 1000
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2022 Thanks for the information, how have you setup the BGW, is it in modem/bridge mode or have you put the R2 WAN IP in the DMZ? Where are you testing the speeds?
Josh777
I’ve done a ip pass through for the Netduma I’m testing the speeds on a laptop connected via Ethernet and then on my phone via speed test by okala
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2022 Please disable Adblocker if it is enabled and disable the protection options in WAN settings and then re-test

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2022 When you can, if you can provide a screenshot of a completed Benchmark test & the QoS page I can get a better idea of what may be happening

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2022 Okay interesting so the router is getting pretty close to expected speeds but it's not translating through devices, can you run a speedtest here please and see what you get (while wired) https://speed.measurementlab.net/#/
Josh777
On wired it’s decent but I’m right next to router on wifi and the speeds are running
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2022 On WiFi you're unlikely to get much higher than what you are unfortunately but here are some things you can try that could boost it: Disable Mirror Mode, give 2.4/5GHz different names and apply - you'll want to connect to 5GHz specifically for speeds Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proxity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _
Josh777
doesn’t make sense I used to get 600-700 on wifi before with my other Netduma r2 before it got bricked
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 27, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 27, 2022 I think you were lucky then as I've never personally got that high with the R2 WiFi - have you tried the above suggestions to see if they improve it?
