scaryp
Hi all, I understand that there is a cosmetic bug with the UPnP toggle on XR100 latest firmware (XR1000 1.0.0.58_1.0.44). No matter what I do, I can't disable it. I've tried checking the 'Turn UPnP On' and applying settings and then leaving it unchecked and applying settings. I keep seeing the UPnP table populate! I need to manage my own rules for these devices that are in the table due to a security issue. Please advise how I disable UPnP. Thank you. ndenigma
I believe this is a known issue and should be fixed in the next firmware update. scaryp
scaryp
Oh, I thought that the toggle to show it was enabled was broken. So UPnP is ALWAYS ON? That's really not good. I want to like this router but it's lack of (expected) features and firmware update frequency will probably see me return it.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 5, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 5, 2022 Hey, welcome to the forum! The toggle is broken so it is enabled by default as with most routers, as the toggle is broken it's unlikely you'll be able to disable it. It will be fixed by NG for the next version. scaryp
ndenigma
I've made peace with the bugs for now, but certainly understand the frustration. I paid half of what it's worth so I don't feel AS bad since it still has rock solid stability (both wireless and wired) and definitely better ping times than any other router I've used. I know that the Netduma team and Netgear are working on churning out updates quicker moving forward. Netduma Fraser and scaryp
