nferguzl
I just bough an xr1000 and have a question. I have fiber 300/300 internet and lets say under load it does not get congested testing on pingplotter with congestion control off or sliders at 100. Will it still make sense to leave QOS on with congestion on never and make Pc gaming device a game console under traffic prio or otherwise just turn QOS completely off? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 18, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 18, 2021 It all depends on how much network traffic is being used, at those speeds it's still possible to congest it, one download will do it as downloads by nature go as fast as possible. It's completely up to you really and what you feel works best for your network
nferguzl
But what I’m really asking is does traffic prio put your gaming device to the front of the queu and benefit gaming even though there is no network congestion compared to just having QOS off? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 18, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 18, 2021 If there is any sort of network queue then yes it will benefit you so I'd suggest keeping it enabled at the very least
