Guateuc Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 What kind of magic juju is in this router?! At first in CoD AW (ps4) I was getting destroyed because I kept watching the ping of the host. When i started playing I found a host with 25ms in ground war. It was the best experiance I have had in this game. I do have one question though, under the Host filtering tab next to ping there is a thing called "trace". What does that do?
abc123 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 This does a trace route, basically it shows how many routers are between you and the host. This is important because the internet isn't a straight line, and sometimes it can show that there is an issue with routing that your ISP needs to fix... The less hops the better... Googling trace route will show you more
Guateuc Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 sweet. Thanks I'll research it more. One thing that I noticed is that when I turned everything on the geofilter keeps placing me in Washington State.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Sorry I don't understand. When you turn what on? And by you do you mean the game host or you home location?
abc123 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 sweet. Thanks I'll research it more. One thing that I noticed is that when I turned everything on the geofilter keeps placing me in Washington State. This is likely a AW game server. Sorry I don't understand. When you turn what on? And by you do you mean the game host or you home location? I think he just means all the checkboxes above geo-filter but i'm not positive.
