Comp0za
Is there any way to improve my latency/ping on my XR500 router? Any tips would be appreciated.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2021 All devices should be connected to the XR, Anti-Bufferbloat/Traffic Prioritization should almost always be used and of course the Geo-Filter. What are the pings you're currently seeing?

What are the pings you're currently seeing? https://imgur.com/a/L1eKXWK When I have Anti-Bufferbloat set to Always, 70% for both download and upload, I still get the full download and upload speed when testing. Is it normal?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 10, 2021 Your base ping is really good so that's great! Yes that's normal as Benchmark speed test doesn't react to QoS. You'll need to experiment with the percentages a bit more to see if you can eliminate those spikes from Ping Under Load. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 11, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 11, 2021 Definitely do that when testing to see what eliminates them the most, after that you can use Auto if you prefert
