craig Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Everything was working ok until this morning when I turned it on it was asking for a wifi password so I put in the wifi password and it just wouldn't connect, got the message The Wi-Fi network "NetdumaR2 requires a wpa2 password" I have tried all the trouble shooting methods eg factory reset, the password conversion method along with a few other things but had no such luck connecting. Any help would be appreciated Cheers
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2021 Administrators Posted April 10, 2021 What is the password the router has given you and what was the conversion you made?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2021 Administrators Posted April 10, 2021 Thank you, that is correct so odd it isn't working. Are you able to connect to the router via ethernet and then change the WiFi password that way?
craig Posted April 10, 2021 Author Posted April 10, 2021 Could I do this on ps5? only have Macbooks otherwise
craig Posted April 10, 2021 Author Posted April 10, 2021 Just tried to connect modem router to netduma router to ps5 and its not picking a connection either..
craig Posted April 10, 2021 Author Posted April 10, 2021 I've managed to connect to the router after changing cables and using a diff port, but now its not picking up a connecting when going through the setup mode, any suggestions ? cheers
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2021 Administrators Posted April 10, 2021 What is the modem model that the R2 is connected to? Select the option to set it up manually but then skip through that, complete the wizard then go to Settings > WAN > Network > DHCP and apply the settings and see if the connection comes back
craig Posted April 10, 2021 Author Posted April 10, 2021 virgin media 3.0 ? its not even let me go through that now. I tried to refresh the page but its not loading. Im still connected to the r2 but there is no signal coming from it. Apologies but I'm not the most tech savvy
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 10, 2021 Administrators Posted April 10, 2021 I've got that as well, is it in router mode - i.e. is it providing WiFi or have you put it in modem mode? Hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds, then release and wait 2 minutes before accessing. The converted password should work and that should allow you to get through the setup wizard and get internet. If you change the WiFi details while connected to WiFi you will need to reconnect to it using the new credentials before you can continue. No need to apologize, we'll get you sorted!
