Difficulty setting geofilter to a different country or area that I do not live in.

I’m from the northeast of the U.S. but I want to play on servers only in the southwest and Mexico. I set my geofilter with a 900 mile radius and so that it has a server from California and Texas within the circle since there are no servers in Mexico. But when I do this, I just sit there searching forever and never find a game. And if I do find a game it takes well over 10 minutes, which is not optimal. Ping assist is 0 and I set it all up before I launch the game. Any help would be great on how to get this to work.

As a test, disable Filtering Mode, do you get a game quickly and if so where is it located?
