AJWV Posted February 27, 2021 Share Posted February 27, 2021 Good evening, I just recently received my Netduma R2. My ISP is Verizon and I have Fios. I have a ONT with a Ethernet running to the Netduma R2, is this okay? I noticed poorer wireless connection after replacing my R700 with the R2. AJWV Posted February 27, 2021 Author Share Posted February 27, 2021 Welp. I had to hook my R700 backup and use it for WiFi then ran a Ethernet from it to my R2 due to the poor Wireless signal . Running straight from the ONT is fine to do. We are working on improving the WiFi as much as possible. If you're happy with the current setup that is fine, otherwise you could do ONT > R2 (wifi off) > R700 (AP mode). That way any devices connected to the R700 would appear as though they're directly connected to the R2 and therefore can be controlled by it easily.
