bobbyboy
Ok so I went and bought an XR300 the other day, hoping to use geofiltering, but I keep getting NIL values and I am not sure that it is working properly. I feel as if it works one game and not the next? Judging that on lag spikes and packet loss when there shouldn't be any. I have hard reset the router twice now and the same issues keep occurring. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated? Also, I'm on the newest firmware, would going backwards be worth it and if so how would I go about that? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 20, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 20, 2021 Hey, welcome to the forum! NIL values are just where it doesn't know what the text should be, we'll be fixing that. What are your Geo-Filter and QoS settings? I don't think downgrading would help. bobbyboy
Hi Fraser, thanks for the insight! Typically is trying to use I would have filtering mode on, however since I have felt it's not working properly, I have turned it off for now. I can see the servers when I start my game and peers within my circle usually.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 20, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 20, 2021 I see you have one device connected do you have any more devices in your home? If so what are they connected to? Is 1000Mbps down/up your actual connection speeds?
bobbyboy
I also have a modem/router combo given to me by ISP that I assume is what everything else is connected to? 1000 is what I pay for, not what I get though
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 21, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 21, 2021 Okay in that case the lag makes sense as to truly get the most out of the router ALL devices should be connected to the XR and then use the QoS to eliminate lag.
