DKitch1984
Hi, Hoping these forums can help me as I seem to not be getting anywhere! I have Sky Superfast broadband modem and a Netgear XR500 gaming router linked to it. I have two xboxes, one for me and one for another family member. I'm trying to set my NAT to open on both xboxes and have them communicate with each other. My question is - is this possible? I've tried everything having read through these forums. I've tried setting the WAN ID of my Netgear router into Sky's DMZ and enabling UPnP. I've also tried setting up port forwarding on both my Sky router and my Netgear router but don't whether I'm doing it correctly. I've also read I should set my NAT filtering to open. Can someone explain to me step by step what I should do? Surely it should be possible to have both xboxes communicate with each other via the same router. I'd tried as I can hard to understand all the jargon but I'm finding it extremely confusing! Thanks in advance for any help!
Netduma Liam
Welcome to the forum! I'd suggest setting up two rules in port forwarding, one for port 3074 and another for 3075. Give that a test and let me know how you get on!
