Phe
Hi, so every couple days my R2 completely drops connection and the only way to fix is to do a hard reset by unplugging it. This has happened since I owned the R2 but its getting annoying now. Im on the latest firmware and have done a factory reset. This is also not happening with the “default” Virgin Media router so its no problem on that end.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2021 Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. Are you using the V hub in router or modem? If modem mode I'd recommend router mode as I find their modem mode to be a bit flaky. Then on the V hub give the R2 a static/reserved IP and place it in the V hub DMZ, that should help with the disconnects. Does it occur on both wired & wireless devices? Phe
Ive tried router mode and modem mode, both dropout and yes wireless and wired both disconnect. I have also gave it a static IP i thought that would have been the issue myself but sadly didnt fix it.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2021 If you haven't already upgrade to the latest version here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/33236-announcement-new-r2-firmware-30179/ Then do a factory reset, that version has some fixes in that should help. Then re-setup the reserved IP and DMZ.
