ping heatmap

Maybe its just me but I've noticed something

Every video or screen shot  I see of someone doing a ping heatmap the map ends up looking relatively the same

as in ping levels (green orange red) are usually the same no matter where the person who initiated the ping resides


am I doing something wrong? that should not be the case

Could you provide a screenshot of what you see on Ping Heatmap and also where you're located please? You could be right but it shouldn't do that.
