Floaty_McTurd
Hello everyone, new guy here so go easy :) I've just purchased the netduma r2 and am having some problems. to confirm my setup first; ISP : VODAFONE GIGAFAST physical setup : ONT box on wall, all lights on and solid, Vodafone router connected to ONT, all lights on and solid, R2 connected via cat6 cable provided to LAN port. on my laptop I've disabled wireless adapter to be sure I'm only getting ethernet connection which is directly connected to the R2. I've ran a speed test and accessed several sits including dumaos/ set up page. however, when i try to then enable wireless adapter and connect to the R2 via wifi, i get "unable to connect to this network". I've then tried on two different iphones to also connect wireless to the R2 and got the same error on both phones. any suggestions please, i only have 1 ethernet which will be plugged into ps5, i'd then like to wirelessly connect to r2 in order to access dashboard. thanks Adam
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 7, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 7, 2021 Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. Just to confirm, have you managed to complete the setup wizard using a wired device and set your own wireless password to connect devices with? Floaty_McTurd
Ah I’m really sorry to waste your time, I’ve just noticed the issue. The wifi password on the router was 2 digits different to that on the network settings page. I’ve used that password instead and it’s connected. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 7, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 7, 2021 No worries at all, glad it is working! Out of interest could you let me know what the password was on the sticker and what the settings said? You can just say the parts that were different. Floaty_McTurd
Ah sorry, I changed the password completely now in the settings. All I can remember is the password started 196 (on the router) and 197 in the settings
