Terp0 Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 I was wondering if I could have my netduma R2 being used as a switch just to have my pc use the software. I am waiting for my remodeling to get finished so I don’t want to change the current network configuration where I am living. I was wondering if the Netduma R2 could be used in this order - Router > Switch > Netduma R2. I just want my pc to use the geofilter settings for now until I can fully set up the router at my new place. Thanks for any help!

Yes absolutely you can use it in that configuration if you wish to. Obviously things like QoS won't work as well but for just the Geo-Filter that will work fine.
Terp0 Posted December 29, 2020 Author Posted December 29, 2020 Would I have to go from the Switch into the lan port and configure the IP address of the Netduma for my PC to get the correct address scheme? Or is the Netduma going to act as a second router and give out a different scheme? Thanks for the help.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 29, 2020 Administrators Posted December 29, 2020 The switch would connect to the R2 WAN port and then PC to R2 LAN port. The R2 would give out a separate IP.
