Peer-to-peer connections FIFA21

I thought newer fifa’s only used dedicated servers for matchmaking but in the geo-filter screen i sometimes see a player icon pop up in the sea between UK and Holland (im based in amsterdam) and it shows a peer connection

 

ive had this multiple times by now and it always pops up in the same spot in the ocean area

We are still working on functionality for FIFA 21 in Geo-filter, so you may experience some bugs!

Are you able to filter correctly and block servers?

The filter seems a bit off for fifa 21 because since turning it on it tries to match me with servers far out of my range with 200ms but it immediately gets blocked so i dont play those matches. But that keeps me from finding good matches sometimes. When i turn the netduma off it always finds matches closest to me so its weird that the netduma pings to servers further away

That's interesting, are you using a PC or console? 

When adding the profile, did you select FIFA or did you select 'Choose manually'

Im playing on PS4 and i selected fifa in the geo-filter

OK, try re-adding the profile and selecting 'Choose manually'

Then see if this makes any difference.
