Atzenkeeper
Hi there, I am R1 Owner and just ordered my R2. My Question is if the Connection Benchmark is only to Check my Connection Speed & Quality I receive from my ISP Modem (and the Result will not change) or gives me the Benchmark different Informations/Results if I play around with the QoS Congestion Settings to get the Best Results at Home? On the R1 I use the SpeedTest on the DSLReports Homepage to check if my Results are better/worst if I change something in the Congestion Settings. Thank you and Greetings from Germany
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 10, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! Both basically. Speed test (currently undergoing improvement) will give you an idea of the speed you're getting from the ISP. Ping Test will give you an idea of how stable your base connection is. Ping Test Under Load can be optimized by adjusting Congestion Control.
Atzenkeeper
Oh fine, so I should see positive or negativ Results on the Ping Test Under Load Window while I try to find my Best Congestion Control Settings and don’t need to use a separate Site like DSL Reports
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 11, 2020 Exactly, you can think of the Ping Under Load test as a replacement for DSLReports, so you can compare it with your average Ping test and experiment with Congestion Control to get the under load test as close to the average as possible.
