I keep having to reboot my router once i start gaming on my ps4 inorder for the geo-filter and qos settings to work properly, if i dont do this my gameplay is laggy and unresponsive..... any reasons why i have to constantly do this?

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear you're having this issue. What is the issue precisely you see with QoS and Geo-Filter? What ping do you start with and what do you get before rebooting - both Geo-Filter ping and In game.

Are you on the latest firmware version .179?

Well in terms of gameplay the qos settings i have do not remain after a gaming session with my ps4, once i finished gaming for the day and restart the next day i have to reboot the router or else the qos and geo filter settings will not take effect and gameplay will be laggy.... also i find i have to manually allow servers almost every time i boot up the game i am playing even though i already have them allowed.

i am running the latest firmware which ends with .179

Yes thats correct , Qos isn't throttling and in terms of geo filter it does not allow allow host outside of the radius however a server i have as allowed  i find myself having to allow that server all over again because its not showing up when i am searching for an opponent online.

the game i am playing is FIFA 21

The black arrow pointing to the server which i assume is  to allow online play , once i stop gaming on the ps4 for the day and lets say start gaming  the next day the server will come up as not allowed with the yellow traingle icon and i now have to manually allow again..... i have to be doing this everyday....  as in allow the server  everyday and rebooting router in order to get the server to be allowed .... is there a way to just do this once and it remains?

In terms of speed, the speed is generally ok its just the gameplay feels laggy and unresponsive if i don't reboot router

There are many clusters in one location so most likely what is happening is that you're allowing another server required for authentication even though it appears to be the same one. We will do that once we test the game so you don't have to but for now that's what you'd need to do or not use Filtering mode. Eventually you will have allowed all the required servers and won't need to do it again. Does the ping ever fluctuate when you feel it get unresponsive?

Okay and so when it starts getting unresponsive, you're playing on the exact same server, same QoS settings etc, nothing has been changed? Is the console connected via WiFi or ethernet?

Yes everything is exact and the console is connected via ethernet.

Okay next time, when it is all working fine, have a look at the Network Monitor, is there anything using the internet? When it goes downhill, look again, is more bandwidth being used? When it goes downhill do you ever try forcing a different server to see if it plays better?

Ok will do, in terms of forcing a different server ....the other servers has more ping so i am not sure if that would help.

Even if the ping is slightly higher, it may be more stable which would give you a better experience. A stable 30ms server is better than a 10ms server that spikes to 30ms all the time for example.
