Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 6, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 6, 2020 Given the Linksys is an extender what I would recommend is connecting the R2 directly to the ONT - you may need some details to connect, really depends on the ISP such as PPPoE and then connect the Linksys to the R2 in extender mode. Lanzo101
So I would connect the R2 to the Modem? Is that what your saying? If so then would I connect them? Would I use the R2’s WAN Port to connect to the Modem, Then lastly how would I connect the Linksys to the R2 in extender mode?

Yes exactly, connect the R2 blue WAN port to the modem LAN port. Then connect one of the Linksys ports to the R2. Then you can access the linksys interface and switch it to extender or AP mode. This is the best setup as it will eliminate double NAT and allow the R2 to control all the devices in your home which will make it more effective at reducing latency. Lanzo101
Don’t worry I fixed it all I had to do was have the ports for Xbox & The video games I play on the R2 to get the NAT fixed & everything running smoothly.
