prawnk1ng Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Hi, Im having issues with the geo fillter on the xr500 It used to work find around this time last year. I havent tried it since then but i needed to use it again but it dont work I use it on PS4 for Destiny 2. I used to be able to load in solo when going to the tower or a stike but now i always get populated lobbies Ive tried removing my ps4 from device manager and adding it back. It setup as console and the destiny profile. All checkboxes are off as they should be because D2 is a peer to peer game. I am connected via wifi and this was sucsessfuly geo filetering this time last year. Has anyone got any ideas ? Thanks
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 10, 2020 Administrators Posted October 10, 2020 Due to some recent updates from Destiny the Geo-Filter doesn't filter for it as well as it once did. It is not as simple as doing a cloud update this time to rectify it. It will take actual changes to the Geo-Filter, we need to investigate and implement, this will take some time so best to either continue trying to filter with strict mode on perhaps or use spectating mode.

That’s strange because my friend can solo load into a tower using the same hardware as me. he’s also on PS4 and xr500. The only thing that’s changed for me is my ISP. I’m in UK i used to be on BT and it worked I’m currently on Virgin could this me an issue ?

prawnk1ng Posted October 10, 2020 Author Posted October 10, 2020 Same firmware and same setting. This is why it’s so frustrating. When I first bought the xr500 it would work will all default setting too; just filter and choose a remote location might try a factory reset to see if that helps anything.

prawnk1ng Posted October 11, 2020 Author Posted October 11, 2020 Very strange indeed. it’s working now weird on the map I see lots of triangles of people trying to join a public area like tower or destination but... it never works when I also use my netgear nighthawk mesh Extender S65 any ideas for this dilemma ?
