Any devices that you want to join after that you would have to set a static IP on the device itself from the device network settings. For IP you would give it something another device isn't using e.g. 192.168.1.35 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 and then they can connect. Ok thank you I will do that. How do I disable DHCP? Uncheck Use Router as DHCP Server? Also do I switch it back to static in the internet setup? Or leave it dynamic?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 9, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 9, 2020 Yes that is exactly right. You can leave internet setup as it is currently, that won't affect it.

I must be missing it somewhere. Where do I enter that at? So I am understanding this clear. I go into the address reservation and add every device I see regardless if it is wired or wireless. Then go into each device itself and set it to static. Then go into Lan Setup and uncheck use router as DHCP. And that's it? As of right now the lights no longer turn off at each release. The only thing I get disconnected from is my phone momentarily. and my kicked off everything on Ps4. Is there any way I can do this with just the ps4? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 10, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 10, 2020 Not exactly. Your steps are: Go to LAN Settings Set a reservation for every device that is connected to the router Disable DHCP Server That is done, all devices can still access the internet etc and shouldn't in theory have any drops. If you have a new device that needs to get internet, say if you had a visitor and they wanted access. You would need to go on that device itself and into their network settings and enter a static IP. It affects all devices so better to do it this way really.

Then I rebooted the router and modem after that happened and still no luck. The only thing able to connect wifi was the laptop. The phones and tablet were the ones giving the error

You can leave them there so you know what IPs to give each device, they won't conflict.
