TIMCSS
Hi everyone, I wonder if someone could help me. Im looking to buy the netduma r2 and I am just after some information on installation before sinking in. I have a Sky Q Hub with Fibre connected by phone line. I understand that the Netduma R2 doesnt have a ADSL port so would need to connect to the Sky Q modem with ethernet. Will this work?, What do i need to turn off on the sky hub modem to make sure it isn't bottle necking my network and have i got the above right? Thank you
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 13, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! That's right you will need to connect the R2 to the Sky Hub via ethernet (provided in the R2 box) and then I would suggest you put the R2 WAN IP (which can be found on the R2 interface in the System Information page) into the DMZ function in the Sky hub interface. Also would suggest disabling the Sky hub WiFi and connect all devices to the R2, then you're all set and can change the R2 settings as you wish. If I gave a sky multi box I'm assuming this connects to the sky q box anyways and isn't an issue? Tim

Some have said they have connected their mini boxes to the R2 and it worked so maybe worth a try going through the R2 - it would be better that way if possible.
