cant login.asks for password. do searching seems default pass is admin password. wont work

reset router several times with  back hole pin 30,30,30 method (read about a "beep". but no beep from r2 during reset)

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear you're having this issue. Could you try with Google Chrome in an incognito window please? It should be admin / password as you've reset it now.

Yes  I tried incognito mode and get same result. the box to type in name and password just blinks and comes back, when i hit cancel it says Authorization Required.

Are you connected via ethernet or WiFi and does it make a difference if you try to login either way? If you try on a different device does it let you login?

Direct cable from frontier modem/router in to r2. cable into PC.  i don't have a different device to try.

i v cleared cache. reset router. reset modem and router together. It wont accept admin/password no matter what. My PC is in English but I double checked when google ask to save password to make sure it didn't translate"password".

maybe a clue as to whats going on.    No matter what I type for name or password when I hit enter, "admin" pops up in name spot and the ********" in password area.

Fixed it. after many resets . only thing I did different . I unplugged my PC from the r2  before I reset it. Lights came on but no internet . went to dumaos and it loaded into like new. everything's  fine after that thanks

Well done for managing to fix it! If it happens again please let us know, I'd recommend enabling remote access to tech support in WAN Settings so if it happens again we can connect and try and see what the cause is.
