Mvrk
Hey man, I just got the R2 a few days ago and the WiFi (2.4) to be exact is no longer giving me the right speeds when I test the connection on my iPhone. I get around 50/20 when I was getting around 230. Is there a workaround this issue or is my hardware defective ? thanks in advance.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 29, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 29, 2020 Are you sure you were getting those speeds via 2.4GHz because that's quite unlikely, what do you get through the 5GHz? Have you mirrored the WiFi settings or are you using them separately?
Mvrk
Yes am sure. Very unlikely. I get what Im supposed to get. I have them separate not mirrored.

Guest Killhippie
You are already on 5Ghz not 2.4Ghz. It could be a driver issue, im sure @Netduma Fraser will let you know, I believe a new firmware is in the pipline for wifi improvements
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 1, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 1, 2020 Sorry not sure how I missed your reply. You're getting good speeds on 5GHz so that is great. For 2.4GHz, how far away are you from the router - is that right beside it? Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that to see if you gain faster speeds. Mvrk
Am literally next to it. I’ll try to change the channels, what do you recommend ?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 1, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 1, 2020 If you use a WiFi analyzer then you can find the best one given the amount of wireless networks around you - couldn't recommend a specific channel. Windows has a free analyzer in the Microsoft Store you could use.
Mvrk
Roger I’ll do that.
