plscarpenter Posted August 23, 2020 Author Posted August 23, 2020 I went ahead and applied it in to the DHCP and it worked. I’m just curious what changed that it could automatically obtain the MAC address even after I factory reset the R2 several times.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 23, 2020 Administrators Posted August 23, 2020 Great news! Sometimes if an ISP is used to a certain router then it won't play nice for a little while until it syncs properly so by using the MAC address of the previous router you bypass it, seems to have worked in this case.
plscarpenter Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 This R2 has been a serious pain in my ass since I’ve been trying to use it. Lost the internet connection again, so put the MAC address in again and settings are all messed up. I don’t understand why I can’t just factory reset it and it connects like it should.
plscarpenter Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 How much more time do we need to speed on this router before you’ll deem it unrepairable? That way I can send this back and have it repaired or replaced.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 25, 2020 Administrators Posted August 25, 2020 I've sent you a PM.
