Mike Jackson Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 My original NetDUMA sat for a long while unplugged. We recently tried to use it again and while the lights are on, I get the beep sound when I plug it in, my computer is not given an IP address. I had to manually give my computer an IP of 192.168.88.10/255.255.255.0 and I can not ping 192.168.88.1 but I can not get to the interface through the web browser. I have tried the reset button on the back without success. I see that there is a USB port on the side? can I manually load a firmware through the USB port and hopefully get the R1 back?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 9, 2020 Administrators Posted August 9, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! Could you follow this guide please and see if it allows you access? http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000022375-i-unticked-preserve-settings-when-upgrading-can-t-access-my-router-help
Mike Jackson Posted August 9, 2020 Author Posted August 9, 2020 Didn't work. Also note that I had to manually assign an IP to my computer. But still could not connect to 192.168.1.1? What is the usb port on the side for?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 9, 2020 Administrators Posted August 9, 2020 What IP did you assign to your PC? It doesn't have a specific function so can just be used for powering devices but we would like to utilize this in the future.
Mike Jackson Posted August 11, 2020 Author Posted August 11, 2020 I gave it a manual ip address of 192.168.1.10 and tried to connect to 192.168.1.1. Nothing. I gave it a manual ip address of 192.168.88.10 and tried to connect to 192.168.88.1. Nothing. Ran a port scan and see that port 22 is open. Is there a default ssh account that I can log into?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 11, 2020 Administrators Posted August 11, 2020 No there isn't, I would suggest you email [email protected] with a link to this topic as they may have some more ideas/solutions.
