sirzepp
I've followed the forum posts about downgrading firmware and such, and none of them seem to yield a permanent fix to this problem. It does "fix itself" when I reboot the router, but the problem eventually comes back. Is there anything I'm doing wrong that's causing this? We do have a relatively large amount of devices (I think >30) on our network sometimes...is that the issue? Any help would be appreciated. sirzepp
I didn't mention it above, this is on the XR500. Currently the firmware is 2.3.2.
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted June 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 16, 2020 Have you tried increasing the amount of retries for rapps? You can do this on the System Information page. On that same page, could you let me know what your RAM/CPU usage is looking like? Perhaps a certain rapp is eating up resources.
sirzepp
Yep, I increased it to 5 from 3. Screen shot of System Information page below. I cut out the network stuff...just in case.
sirzepp
To be clear, I increased the retries from 5 to 3 a month ago...still having the issue.
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted June 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 16, 2020 Well, if the downgrade-upgrade option isn't working, you could try this: https://kb.netgear.com/000059633/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-client

Should I just stay with the downgraded firmware and shut off auto updates?
