thedirtylesson
I am coming here after being directed by Blizz support - they say this issue is coming from the router (my R1 is on 1.03.6h). Whenever I try to install battle.net app launcher on my Desktop Windows 10 system it wont get past a part called "Updating Blizzard Agent" which is a loading bar stuck at about 35%. After trying numerous fixes from Blizz I just decided to full reinstall windows 10 and the issue persisted exactly the same - stuck at same point on same loading bar before app even starts installing... No 3rd party security software present BTW. The strange thing is that my Windows 10 Laptop is also hooked up the the R1 (wifi for laptop and ethernet for desktop) - but can uninstall/reinstall battle.net ALL DAY with no issues... I have rebooted the router several times and also reset network settings from the desktop but nothing changes. My next step is going to be to grab a spare router from a friend and try that out. Are there any settings on the R1 I could change that could be affecting this issue?

thedirtylesson
Switching to a friends cheapo router allowed me to install battle.net finally. Going to get games installed then switch back to R1 and see if I get anymore issues.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 13, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 13, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! The only reason why I could think the R1 may block this is if you had the PC in the Geo-Filter with a custom rule, was that the case?

I would like to just remove the PC from host filtering but do not know how...
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 14, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 14, 2020 You can't delete it from the Geo-Filter on the original firmware unless the router is rebooted and the device deleted. Click the button underneath the device on the Geo-Filter until it says 'Enable' and that will mean it is disabled.

Is there any other type of reboot or factory rest I could do to the router to attempt to address the issue?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 14, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 14, 2020 You can do a factory reset in Settings > Miscellaneous and then try after that. Wait 1-2 minutes for the internet connection to be established before trying.
