Joltive
I currently have Cox Communication 1 GB, but on my PS4 and Xbox One i'm having massive lag spikes just constant. I've disabled QoS and Bufferbloat, then enabled it again and i'm still getting it. I've hooked the router directly up and I have no issues, just when it's on WiFi. My router is about 12 feet away from my PS4/Xbox, I've also tried 2.4 and 5.0 ghz and still get massive lag spikes. My firmware is up to date. I tried with IPv6 disabled, and enabled. I have UPnP on currently.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 9, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 9, 2020 I would suggest using a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that. It's likely there are multiple networks around you and now that more people at home, many more wireless devices so by changing the channel you may avoid that contention.
