MihaiL1804
Is there any way to test the router WAN to LAN and LAN to WAN using Iperf? I cannot find a way to assign a specific IP address to the WAN interface. Any help would be much appreciated.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 11, 2020 Administrators Share Posted March 11, 2020 Here is a good tutorial we have used in the past when testing with iPerf, you'll need two devices, one to be the client and one as the server. https://openmaniak.com/iperf.php

Hence, my post for XR500. I would really appreciate some sort of guidance on this.

If I recall have 2 routers, e.g. router 1 (192.168.10.x) & router 2 (192.168.20.x) - router 2 being connected to router 1 for internet. Client connected to router 2 and server connected to router 1 then you can start the test. What is the purpose you're doing this for btw?

I want to test for UDP jitter/packet loss as FIFA and NHL keep lagging and I want to make sure there is nothing within firewall/settings in XR500 dropping packets. ICMP tests are fine, but they seem fine even with the Virgin HUB which is bad anyway.
