padr81
Hi guys I've bought an XR300. My QoS settings are as follows. Anti-Bufferbloat - Always. Both sliders at 70% My bufferbloat is working and throttling my connection. I've added my pc as a device. I've set bandwidth allocation on pc to download 2.8 Mbps and upload to 1 Mbps. When I run a speedtest I get a download speed of 180Mbps and upload of 30Mbps. Not matter how I adjust things my pc always gets full speed on speedtest. I tried the same on my ps4. Download to 2 Mbps, upload to 1 Mbps and when I run speedtest I get 120 down and 20 up. Why can't I limit my connection? Just plugged the router out and back in and it worked. Guess it needed a reboot after applying settings.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 11, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 11, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! If you're using Bandwidth Allocation then share excess will allow these devices to get the full speeds/throttled speeds. If you disable share excess in the Bandwidth Allocation settings then it will adhere to the allocations you have given them.
