DanB
Comcast recently upgraded to an xfinity xb6t combo modem/router. I’m running 600/mbps down and 25/mbps up. I want to use my R1 for congestion control, but I am receiving an error message when I open the miscellaneous tab telling me to post on forum. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 14, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 14, 2019 Hey, welcome to the forum! Could you just reboot the router please as that will most likely fix it. Also if you've got that much speed you'll probably want to disable QoS fully as you're unlikely to get local congestion with those speeds.
DanB
Reset did the trick. Novice networker here... QoS... where would I find that? Also, I am having issues with speed. I have my combo modem/router in bridge mode and followed set up instructions on the R1. But I cannot get speeds higher than a dozen mbps. Thoughts? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 15, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 15, 2019 Sorry I meant Congestion Control. If you follow this guide then that will allow you to get the highest speeds possible - it may not be your entire speeds but it should be close. http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000022366-why-is-my-connection-speed-lower-
