roads Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Downloading a 4K testmovie from VLC and this is howits coming down. Realized DL is very slow. Is this normal or something with the latest Netduma Firmware?
faulko Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I would have to say most of my larger file sizes look like this aswell.Do you have share excess off/on?Off seems to make mine alittle better.Could be the site you receiving from aswell.
Buds Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Strange one! I downloaded the Halo 5 beta on xbox a few times yesterday and when it was downloading the usage was a fairly constant 7.5 mbps down, few dips here and there down to 6 mbps but nothing like that.
roads Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 Now downloading COD ghosts from live and similar pattern seem Iain introduced some bug with the last patch?
Buds Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 What's your bandwidth usage reporting on xbox live in real time?
Adam Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Now downloading COD ghosts from live and similar pattern seem Iain introduced some bug with the last patch? That;s not a bug thats how like how a large download would look when you download it isnt a constant stream of data as it arrives in blocks or packets..
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Hi roads i didn't touch that side of the router so it's unlikely it's a bug. That pattern is quite normal for the internet it's the tcp saw tooth but yours is excessive. Please let me know your entire congestion control setup.
roads Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 preemtive 100 100%, share excess checked, right now all set to 7% in the red/grenn web prio
Guest Netduma Luke Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 preemtive 100 100%, share excess checked, right now all set to 7% in the red/grenn web prio Iain will be able to respond tomorrow but from my view, I have this effect as well - as Adam said I believe this is the way data is often sent (in blocks)
abc123 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 they are correct, this is pretty standard...although unless you have a very low max download speed yours is slightly beyond normal. Normally, it would be less extreme.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Right sounds like you have normal set-up so I imagine its just how the program transmits data.
