NeoTexx
Hello, can someone explain my how the Qos influence the server Tick. I have 24Mb down and 5,5Mb up and when I reduce the bandwith via Qos to 70% the server Tick changes from 3,8ms to a range between 4,5ms and 7,5ms. I have a better gaming experiance with this setting. It isn´t couse by Bufferbloat. I rechecked it with Netlimiter where I limit the bandwith to same values and get same server Ticks with high Bufferbloat values. So there must be a diffrent relation between bandwith and server Tick. My settings; xbox one X Wired connection via lan + netduma r1 with OS use PPPOE connection Game Battlefield V with 37ms Ping on EU server Have very bad experiance in online gaming coursed by rooting of my isp. I have some time delay in online games. I work to get it to a normal level but have no idea to solve the problem.
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted July 22, 2019 Administrators Share Posted July 22, 2019 That's strange, as you say the host tick rate should be unaffected by QoS. For the sake of troubleshooting and improving your connection, you should probably just focus on improving ping as much as possible.
