Gaffney
Hi, Loved playing around with DumaOS and the XR500, consistently sitting on a 25ms ping instead of 35-50ms ping with frequent spikes of 200-1000+ as I was on my ISP issued router. However one annoying thing I can't find a solution for is the following situation that keeps on occuring. Problem - Disconnected from DumaOS after a few seconds after logging in. Login to routerlogin.net and do anything. Exit routerlogin.net Turn on VPN service using the Windows app (prefer to use the app than setting up in the router) Use VPN and either stay on it or close it and return to normal connection. Login to routerlogin.net Get disconnected from routerlogin.net with the generic DumaOS you have lost your connection to the router... Troubleshooting Cleared entire browser cache - This works but when the steps above are repeated the same issue occurs. So I would need to clear my cache everytime I use my VPN. Reinstalled VPN. Reset network to clear all virtual adapters and clear settings from hardware adapters. Reset router to remove any dodgy settings I messed around with. Connect via Ethernet. Preformed an exorcism with the local priest. Hypothesis Something dodgy is going on with the cookies, as it will also impact my mobile using the same cookies via Chrome and VPN is never used on the mobile. I can also login if I use another browser with zero cookies before or after steps 1 to 6. I've had a search around and I've not seen any other posts RE this issue. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 23, 2019 Administrators Share Posted July 23, 2019 Hey, great write up of your issue, I'm very impressed. If only everyone would write up their issues like this, it would make everything a lot easier! Could you please try accessing the interface using the LAN IP of the router instead and see if you get the same issue occurring?
