Sinko44 Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 This might sound silly. My son and I both have computers hard wired to the XR500 router. I have messed with him before by going into the Device Manager in DumaOS and blocking his connection. It used to block his connection. Now it doesn't do anything. I am on the latest firmware, but it was doing it with the previous version as well.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 16, 2019 Administrators Posted January 16, 2019 Hey, welcome to the forum! Likely the device is something different now on the Device Manager. Could be for a few reasons, connected via WiFi instead of ethernet or vice versa etc.
Sinko44 Posted January 16, 2019 Author Posted January 16, 2019 That's not the issue. When I try to delete it, it says "unable to deleted device because it is online." It's not connected via WiFi either.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 16, 2019 Administrators Posted January 16, 2019 Does he have the ability to access the interface? He may have renamed the device so it doesn't appear the same. Once blocked do you see network usage in network monitor?
