Kaspome
Hi! I recently purchased a Netatmo Presence security camera, it works flawlessly with my old router without any issues. Though everytime i connect it to my R1 i cant connect to the live feed and watch security clips. When troubleshooting the Netatmo team advise to open port 25050 which i did but still nothing. I even downgraded from DumaOS to regular FW with no success. Its getting very frustrating at this point. Appreciate all the help i can get, thank you in advance! Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 2, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 2, 2019 Hey, welcome to the forum! I've not heard of the device so I'll advise based on what I think could be causing it. Try one at a time to see what it could be: Enable Multicast Snooping in Miscellaneous Settings Disable Turbo Mode in Miscellaneous Settings Use Preemptive on Congestion Control
Kaspome
Thank you! Switching to preemptive fixed the issue for me. Will this have any negative effects on my gaming? I have a fiber optic line with 250/250mb. Turbo mode is still enabled and multicast snooping is also off.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 2, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 2, 2019 Great to hear that! The only affect it would have is you will be unable to reach your full speeds. Now that we know the cause though I can pass it on to our team to see if we can look into it working with reactive/dumaos.
Kaspome
Hi again! Any update on this issue? Preemtive is not working properly for me for some reason, i get packet loss and some jitter. Any idea on what could be causing this issue?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 26, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 26, 2019 I haven't heard anything at the moment. Are all devices connected to the R1? What % are you using?
Kaspome
im using the recommended 70% up and down. My setup is Isp modem > Netduma > Netgear R8000P (Set as Access point).
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 26, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 26, 2019 Have you tested your line to see if the issue originates there?
Kaspome
Yes the line is fine as i dont have any issues with Reactive or any other routers.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 26, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 26, 2019 Are you using Hyper Traffic and what traffic is happening on the network when it occurs?
Kaspome
Yes i only set my PS4 on hyper traffic so basically console gaming.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 27, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 27, 2019 So you're only experiencing this on the console? It may be the server you're connecting to rather than congestion control. If you force a different server do you get the same issue?
Kaspome
Il do some testing and let you know!
