JCall13
I have recently just purchased an R1 and tried to set it up, My current setup from my ISP "spectrum" is as follows: Arris modem Model TM1602A Sagemcom Fast 5260 router I have tried replacing the router with my R1, for it to not give off an internet connection. Called my ISP and nothing that they did worked. I then tried to plug it in through my router, and then only wifi will work and no LAN at all, I have tried all ports and multiple cables, to no success, but even if I got that to work, I've got no idea how to enable bridge mode on the router. Thanks in advance for any help.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 27, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 27, 2018 Hey, welcome to the forum! So in the setup where the R1 WiFi worked did you actually receive internet? Just to be sure you're connecting an ethernet cable from the R1 port 1 (PoE) to a port on the other router/modem? Do you know if you require PPPoE for an internet connection? (It's a username/password that would need to be entered in the settings on the router)
JCall13
I did recieve internet over wifi when plugged in as the third device in-line. I do not see PPPoE anywhere in the settings on the ISP router, unless you would be talking about when I have to log into the router with Admin/Admin
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 27, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 27, 2018 That's very strange, no thats not PPPoE. Did you purchase the router new or was it pre-owned? The ethernet cables used, have you confirmed that they work using the previous router?
JCall13
It was purchased new, and I am currently using all of the cables with no faults
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 27, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 27, 2018 When you're connected via LAN are you able to connect to the interface at all?
JCall13
No, I cannot, however, it does try for almost a full minute.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 28, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 28, 2018 That doesn't make any sense, what a weird issue. Can you try accessing the interface using this guide please: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000022375-i-unticked-preserve-settings-when-upgrading-can-t-access-my-router-help
JCall13
I have tried accessing the interface via LAN, while following the guide closely, to no success, even when isolating it from my hub. I can however, access it via WiFi
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 28, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 28, 2018 As you have access through WiFi could you just go through all the pages and take screenshots please, I definitely want to see LAN Settings. Then hopefully I can see if there is anything going on.
