vip3rr
Hello, I know that currently DUMAOS does not support direct VPN from the router, but I am having another issue in regards to VPN. When I was on the previous OS, I used to have to uncheck "turbo mode" to be able to connect to my work vpn. After upgrading to DUMAOS it seems there is no turbo mode setting and whatever was getting stripped from my packet before is happening again. Is this planned to be fixed in the VPN release? I will just have to roll back to the old OS for now.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 22, 2018 Administrators Share Posted October 22, 2018 What VPN are you using then? A client on your PC? If you disable QoS from Anti-Bufferbloats options does that resolve it?
vip3rr
It is a client on my pc, we use cisco anyconnect to connect to our vpn at work. I tried disabling the qos and it still is failing connections.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 22, 2018 Administrators Share Posted October 22, 2018 Turn QoS back on then set speeds in Anti-Bufferbloat options as 50/50 then set QoS to Always - can leave sliders at 100%. Does it work then?
vip3rr
I apologize for the late response. I just attempted this and it still fails.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 28, 2018 Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2018 Are you using IPv6 or PPPoE?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 28, 2018 Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2018 Okay I'll make a ticket for this tomorrow, might not be able to reproduce it otherwise may need a remote session
vip3rr
Not a problem, if you guys need packet captures let me know. On the previous OS, when you checked "Turbo Mode" What exactly was changed on the router? MTU? Packet Queue? Etc.? That setting specifically makes my vpn work when i uncheck it on the old OS. On DumaOS I cant get it to work at all.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 28, 2018 Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2018 Not sure exactly but I think it dropped unnecessary packets. That would make sense as turbo mode is enabled automatically on DumaOS
vip3rr
Ah That completely makes sense. That would explain why it works on the previous OS when i disable turbo mode and force it to send all data. Is there a fix in the works? Something like we had in the previous OS? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 1, 2018 Administrators Share Posted November 1, 2018 I've sent it over to the devs so hopefully they'll include the option to disable or just be able to fix it.
