Infoseye
I have setup port forwarding on the R1 working fine, but wanted to know if this is possible. Can I setup port forwarding on my BT HUB 5 router, then remove port forwarding on the R1. Will it matter? Will I still have open bar type on BO4 connection? Or Does port forwarding has to be done on the R1 instead of my BT router? Thanks
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted October 17, 2018 Netduma Staff Share Posted October 17, 2018 You only need to port forward on one router. Either one should work, just ensure you have an open NAT after you've finished. Usually we recommend using the functions on the R1 rather than your modem since different modems can cause complications. It should be fine with a hub 5 though. Yep! Check it out here: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000022359-how-do-i-open-my-nat- Your best bet is always to try UPnP first. Then, try port forwarding. If neither work, go back to UPnP and put your Netduma into the DMZ of your modem. That should always work really. I hope this helps!
