Hi im wondering why in destiny 2 i was using the Xr500 geo filtering to Destiny 2 Pc and had it on Filtering and it still found a host outside of my location geo filter

Hi jarra - this may be because you had unchecked ‘strict mode’ in the Geo-Filter Map advanced options, which we recommend for Destiny because of the way it’s networked.

 

This will allow servers outside of your range through to ensure the game does not suffer from any ‘Badger’ errors.

 

You can try checking strict mode if you like but it may cause problems. No harm in trying and going back if it doesn’t work for you
