mcl
So, I've been trying to diagnose a problem I've been having with some apps via the VPN I'd set up on my R1. I made some changes to the advanced VPN script I was using to try to eliminate the problem, and completely screwed up my R1. It went from me not being able to get into the VPN page (just showing the pulsing progress bar), to not having any network connection at all. I managed to get the R1 to do a factory reset, but then of course I lost my DHCP lease and etc. etc. etc., resulting in me having to break out a notebook running Ubuntu and connecting directly to the R1 to get the settings put back. Now, I've got everything working, EXCEPT for VPN. Even after a factory reset, when I try to pull up the VPN page, (vpn.sh), I just get "VPN" and the pulsing progress bar. I can't get into the VPN settings at all. Help?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 18, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 18, 2015 It sounds as though the router cannot access the cloud and is therefore unable to load the VPN page. Just to clarify, you fixed all other issues and should therefore have internet access? So you should be able to access it.

Yes, even though it was a good 15 minutes after getting access again, it just now magically started working once more. I think it just wanted to make me look like a fool by letting me post first. It's good to know that page relies on network access to display, though. Thanks!
