Dekker Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 I just recently got Comcast cable and I used the issued modem for a day before I switched to a Netgear N600 C3700 modem router, today. With the Comcast modem router, I set up one band (2.4Ghz) and was getting speeds of 100MBS+ but when I set up the Netgear's 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz bands, I'm only getting 20-30MBS and 40-50MBS respectively. Both tests for both modems were run on my PC and my phone and were all consistent. Is this normal? I was hoping to get the same speeds that the Comcast modems were giving me for the day I had it, yet now it's less. I don't know much about how it works so I'm hoping someone could explain whether this is normal or my modem router is not good and I should get something else. Thank you
