SamC
I have had multiple issues with the netduma and all have given me more than a headache and currently im stuck on that i cant access some websites that i want to because of the DNS issues im having , i cant find one that will let me on all of the websites i need. I like the product and everything and i understand that it is An early Adopter version but If i cant fix this issue within the next 2 days im going to return it and attempt to get a refund. Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted May 31, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted May 31, 2015 Did you try the google DNS servers I suggested in the other thread you made about this problem? If you did, which sites could you not access? What are the exact errors that you are getting? Also, for future, if it is the same issue, try to keep it all in one thread - that way people who have issues similar to this in the future can see the thread with an answer and not a thread just left half way with no solution
SamC
Yea i did i have tried loads of DNS servers that are on the internet including the google ones you suggested. I know it is the NETDUMA because i can access all the sites on my HH. I can access all the sites without making a Static IP on my NETDUMA for its self(WAN IP) and when i create one, whilst fixing the problem of the router loosing connection every 12 hours it also causes me not to access websites i want to view. Take one if the sites that you can't access, go into a command prompt and then type 'ping ' without the pointy brackets or speech marks. Are there any important settings that you have on the Netduma? Would it be possible for you do to a factory reset or would that cause too much trouble setting it back up? I'm not sure how similar the HH5 is to the HH2 (which I think you have?) but here are some instructions on how to set up a static IP on the HH5. Is it because you don't want that number to change.
SamC
Basically when the number changes i lose connection to the internet through the netduma for some reason, and to fix this problem i had to set a static ip so that i didn't have to fix the internet every morning just so i could go use it for the day. So you have a static IP set up for the Netduma at the moment? Then every morning you lose connection on the Netduma? How do you usually fix it if that is correct? SamC
Right now i dont have static ip because you told me to factory reset it. SO in 12 hours it will mess up. I usually had to factory reset, or delete it the history of it ever connection to my HH then reboot and the IP would go back to what it was.
