Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted September 4, 2017 Netduma Staff Share Posted September 4, 2017 Hi, welcome to the forum! The Internet Diagnostics tool deals largely with line issues rather than Netduma settings optimisation. It's basically telling you that you've got bad spikes and jitter on your line - that's no fault with the Netduma itself, and unfortunately it is related to the equipment connected before the Netduma. Try running a Pingplotter test for a few hours (you can download Pingplotter online, it's pretty easy to use) and use it to ping something like Twitter.com or a local news site. The results will give you a clear view of what's going on with your connection. You could also run one of these with the Netduma disconnected if you truly wanted to prove that the Netduma was not at fault. If the Pingplotter results are really bad, you could try switching out your Ethernet cables. Modems are often the culprit as well. You could use the results you gather as evidence to provide to your ISP should it come to that Please let us know how you get on, and post screenshots of your results here. Gonzalo94
Ok im going to do a test now with and without netduma. I call my ISP provider sending a technician specialized in the subject to my house, and he says to me that the maximum speed reached by this router is 100 mbts, that was limiting my connection and making my speed lower..... I have 170/20 mbts without netduma with netduma i get like max 70/2 mbts
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted September 5, 2017 Netduma Staff Share Posted September 5, 2017 Ok im going to do a test now with and without netduma. I call my ISP provider sending a technician specialized in the subject to my house, and he says to me that the maximum speed reached by this router is 100 mbts, that was limiting my connection and making my speed lower..... I have 170/20 mbts without netduma with netduma i get like max 70/2 mbts The maximum speed you can reach through the Netduma is 600mbps. If there's anything we have learned (and many of our forum members would agree) it's that ISP's very often blame third party routers for connection issues because it's easier than fixing the problem. Please ensure that all of these settings match your current setup: - Reactive Algorithm - 100% anti-flood - Share excess enabled - Reset device prioritisation & apply - Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc - Disable deep packet in misc - Enable turbo mode - Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds. - Do a wired speed test from a PC I'd still highly recommend running a Pingplotter test with your Netduma connected and without, which will give you concrete proof of issues on your line. I would also recommend turning off your Modem and Netduma. Then, switch on the modem, wait for 5 minutes, and switch on your Netduma. It's also worth keeping in mind that time of day can affect speed test results, as can other factors. Make sure you run the speed test wired in to a PC without anything else downloading.
