Gigabit speeds support?

Recommended Posts

Anything on the update horizon for trus gigabit speed support thru netduma? I have gone thru al the forums for suggestions and set everything accordingly but still only get results of 300-500 depending on when run obviously. Would be nice to see this be handled as many other routers are capable without issue.

Hi, welcome to the forum! Please give these settings a go:

- Reactive Algorithm
- 100% anti-flood
- Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc
- Disable deep packet in misc
- Enable turbo mode
- Enable super turbo mode
- Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds.
- Do a wired speed test from a PC

Unfortunately due to hardware limitations, the Netduma can only handle speeds of around 800mbps max, and that's in lab conditions. You should be able to get around 600mbps in a standard setup if it isn't peak times.

Thanks - Yes ive already set those items. and am aware of the current limitations honestly just wondering if there is an update on the horizon to address it.

We haven't currently released any information on new hardware, though we will obviously be looking at this avenue going forwards due to the speed limitations of the Mikrotik. You'll be good to go for gaming even on low speeds, since games use less than 1mbps bandwidth. We realise it's not ideal though.
