TeslaDev
Hey all, Is this something I should be worried about? I have my PS4 and X1 shut down. Only my gaming PC up (which I don't have configured....) ...but I still keep getting this connection showing up. I've never seen this before. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 30, 2017 Administrators Share Posted July 30, 2017 When the consoles are 'off' it usually means they're still communicating online - checking for updates and what not so I would not be concerned
TeslaDev
That's the confusing part. I even disconnected the consoles from the network completely...but that connection is persisting. I pulled the Ethernet cables from them, waited 10 minutes, reloaded the Geo-filter, and it's still there. ID: 22d4370271c1bbc0
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 31, 2017 Administrators Share Posted July 31, 2017 If they're completely disconnected then it is a case of the Geo-filter not clearing the map for that host for some reason, again I don't think it's anything to worry about. As a side note, you should lower your radius to ~1000km then that would get blocked and then shouldn't show up.
TeslaDev
Thank you for the continued response, on something that is probably nothing. I also tried that - brought the filter in to just NA and left it there for several hours, the connection persisted. I'll reboot the router when I get home from work, as it was also still showing the connection when I opened the Geo-filter this morning.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 1, 2017 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2017 Okay let me know, unless it is marked as a dedicated server then you should be able to properly block it with deny.
