Zepsblackdog
Host filtering MUST be disabled or STEAM will NOT connect. This is strange, but I MUST disable the filtering to connect online with my STEAM account. I've tried everything I could think of...reinstalling STEAM, STATIC IP check, ensuring all drivers were updated. So after a reboot, for instance.... If I forget to disable the filter after gaming... STEAM won't connect until I disable. THEN... it takes 2 seconds to connect to STEAM, THEN...I enable the filter and game on.. Is this normal or am I missing something? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 7, 2017 Administrators Share Posted May 7, 2017 Do you see anything being blocked on the map with the filter enabled? If so please provide the IDs of the things that are getting blocked.
Zepsblackdog
No, nothing that i see, but I did not look for more than a few seconds before I disable it to make steam connect. I will try and report back.
Zepsblackdog
Update... After a factory reset, all is well. Not sure what was causing STEAM to not connect, but it's fine now. TY for your response.. ZBD..
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 8, 2017 Administrators Share Posted May 8, 2017 I thought I had put Steam servers in the whitelist so that's good to hear it's working as normal! I'll leave the thread open for now in case you have the issue again.
