saltkongen
Hi I bought a duma like 6 months ago, and never really got to play around with it. Recently i unboxed it, and wanted to put it where it belongs, but was missing an AC slot for the power plug. I figured i could just pull out the ac - udb power adapter sitting in one of the other slots, and plug in the 0,3amp usb powered device into the R1. To my surprice theres no current in the R1 usb port. Is this a common thing? Did i kill it? Do i need to somehow enable it? I cant seem to find anything regarding USB anywhere in the settings. Kind regards Saltkongen
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 27, 2017 Administrators Share Posted April 27, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! I am kind of confused by your question. Are you trying to power the entire router by using the USB port? If so that won't work at all. You need to use the included power adapter to plug it into the mains. Currently the USB only provides power (once the router is plugged into the mains), there is no other use for it currently.
saltkongen
nah, i was trying to power a "tellstick net*" by plugging it into the DUMA usb port. But the usb port on the DUMA is totally dead . The duma is powered by its own power adapter, 12V - 2Amp - DC. (*rated as "up to" 1W usage)

Have you tried powering anything else from the port? I think you're the first person to have tried using the port
saltkongen
yea, plugged in the phone after, to see if it was just the tellstick, but same luck... It seems out of order Thats why i was wondering if there were some way to turn it on - or if my unit is just broken.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 28, 2017 Administrators Share Posted April 28, 2017 I wouldn't say the unit is broken, we don't advertise the USB slot because it's not a feature we utilise at all and the router is working outside that. If you want to send it back though we'll send you a replacement one. Just email [email protected] with your order number and a link to this thread.
